On Friday, January 19, the sixth part of the series Beautiful ships and jobs in the port of Rotterdam was published. This book also shows how diverse the ships and jobs are: from a cruise ship to a ro-ro ship, from a director of a vessel registration company to director of a waste processing company. Special attention is paid to writers Cees de Keijzer and Piet van Dijk this time to marine environments and the offshore.
The book is made by two board members of the Rotterdam branch of the World Ship Society. Chairman De Keijzer, responsible for the texts about the ships, wrote the first books together with harbor journalist Hans Roodenburg. He did the interviews with the portrayed people from the port. Roodenburg stopped after five parts. WSS secretary Van Dijk took over from him.
We are proud to announce that the director of Hubel Marine, Erik de Koning has been interviewed for this unique publication and appears on page 96. A publication was handed over to De Koning by De Keijzer and Van Dijk.

I find it fascinating how the book highlights both traditional maritime roles and modern developments in marine environments.
