The Panama Canal Authority has finalized the feasibility study for the installation of a terminal for the supply of LNG on the Pacific Coast. The primary objective of this project would be to supply natural gas to vessels that transit through the canal, recognizing the use of this liquid as a cleaner fuel.
The second function of the LNG terminal would be the distribution of LNG to the region and, if required by the country, to supply energy to Panama City. The project has a total investment amount of USD 100 million.
